Set up LinkedIn Conversion Tracking in TickX IQ using the LinkedIn Conversions API to improve attribution and advertising performance

What is the LinkedIn Conversion Tracking?

Tracking uses the LinkedIn Conversions API to allow TickX to send order confirmations directly to LinkedIn, which can be used in the same way as standard tracking events, but without any cross channel tracking challenges or cookie blockers.

Any events that have also been fired by the browser pixel are de-duped by LinkedIn, but using the LinkedIn Conversions API gives advertisers and agencies a belt and braces approach to LinkedIn tracking.

Integration Set-Up

  1. Log-in to LinkedIn Ads Manager (You need to ensure that you have Admin Access for the account you would like to link)
  2. In the same window > new tab> Go to Integrations Hub > LinkedIn Conversion API
  3. Follow the step by step process by selecting your Ad Account & Campaigns - Save Selection
  4. LinkedIn Conversion API is now set-up

In LinkedIn Ads, the consistent property used to prevent duplication between the LinkedIn Insight Tag (client-side pixel tracking) and the LinkedIn Conversions API (server-side tracking) is the event_id.

 

Data Triggered in the Conversion API

Here is a list of all of the data sent through within the Conversion API event:

Customer Information:
- Hashed email address
- LinkedIn tracking ID (lifatid)
Purchase Details:
- Order amount and currency
- Order ID/reference number
- Purchase date and time
