Using Filters & Filter Groups

Get a detailed overview of how to use Advanced Filters in TickX IQ to refine, group, and analyse your web performance data.

The Advanced Filters enable you to filter your data based on various criteria such as purchase flow, event information, and UTM parameters. You can also create groups within these filters to allow for multiple selections simultaneously, which is particularly useful when analysing the performance of grouped UTM campaigns or other related data points.

Purchase Flows

  • Purchase Flow: This filter allows you to select the specific customer journey or purchase path you want to analyse.
  • How to Use:
Choose a purchase flow to narrow down your data view to specific customer pathways. This is useful for understanding which journeys are performing best or identifying areas for optimisation.

Event Information Filters

  • Event Day: Filter data by the specific day of events.
  • Event Timeslot: Select the timeslot for the events you wish to analyse (e.g., morning, afternoon, evening).
  • Specific Event: Use the calendar tool to select a specific event date.
  • How to Use:
Apply these filters to focus on performance data for particular events, days, or times. This can help in understanding which events or times of day are driving the most engagement or revenue.

UTM Parameters Filters

  • Marketing Channels, Campaign, Medium, Content, Source, Term: These filters allow you to refine data by specific UTM parameters used in your marketing efforts.
  • How to Use:
Select the appropriate UTM parameters to analyse the effectiveness of your marketing campaigns. For example, you can filter by a specific UTM campaign to see how well a particular marketing effort is performing across different channels or mediums.

Creating Groups Within Filters

  • Group Creation: You can create groups within these filters to select multiple options at the same time. This functionality is especially useful for analysing data for multiple UTM campaigns that are part of the same broader marketing campaign.
  • How to Use Groups:
    • To create a group, select multiple options within a filter category. For example, if you have several UTM campaigns under the same marketing initiative, you can select all related campaigns and group them.
    • This allows you to see consolidated data for all the selected items, providing a more comprehensive view of your marketing performance.

Benefits of Using Advanced Filters

  • Enhanced Data Analysis: By applying specific filters, you can dive deeper into particular segments of your data, allowing for more precise analysis and insights.
  • Customised Reports: Use the filters to create tailored reports for different stakeholders or business units, focusing only on the data that matters most to them.
  • Improved Marketing Optimisation: By analysing UTM campaigns or specific purchase flows, you can identify what’s working well and where adjustments are needed, ultimately driving more effective marketing strategies.
