X Conversion API

Set up X Conversion Tracking in TickX IQ using the X Conversions API to improve attribution and digital advertising performance.

This article will guide you through how to set up your conversion tracking for X

What is the X Conversion Tracking?

Tracking uses the X Conversions API to allow TickX to send order confirmations directly to X, which can be used in the same way as standard tracking events, but without any cross channel tracking challenges or cookie blockers.

Any events that have also been fired by the browser pixel are de-duped by X, but using the X Conversions API gives advertisers and agencies a belt and braces approach to X tracking.

You can find more about the advantages of server side tracking and how it works here

Integration Set-Up

  1. Go to TickX IQ > Integrations Hub > X Conversion API
  2. Add Integration Details (In a separate tab on the same window - open your X Ads Account)
  3.  Add Pixel ID
    • Go to X Ads Dashboard - Tools
    • Conversions > Create Conversion Event. Select the type of conversion event you want to track. You can choose from a variety of options, including purchases, sign-ups, and downloads. In this instance you should chose purchases.
    • Add Conversion Event Name & set-up tracking parameters. This may include setting a conversion value and a conversion window.
    • Click on the "View Pixel" button > Copy Tracking Pixel Code → add this into Pixel ID field in TickX IQ
  4. Add Event ID
    • Go to X Ads Dashboard - Conversion Tracking
    • Create Conversion Event > Select conversion event to track
    • Add Conversion Tracking Tag > Create Tag → add this into Event ID field in TickX
  5. Authenticate X Ads.

In X Ads, the consistent property used to prevent duplication between the X Pixel (browser-side tracking) and the X Conversion API (server-side tracking) is the event_id.
